Application of Game On Red field topping varies.  Often times Game On Red field topping is spread on the top of a baseball or softball field.  This gives the greatest benefit for the least cost.  Doing this will give the field its red color, and keep the field firm after a rain.  It will also help prevent erosion. 

It’s also common to blend the topping into the top 2 to 4 inches of soil, and then spread a thin coat on top.  This will promote water absorption through the entire profile of the infield.  It also prevents the baseball infield from getting hard in the dry summer months.
